Murals are often large-scale, colorful paintings on the walls of houses, buildings or streets that are viewed as aesthetically pleasing by the general public and are sometimes recognized as art.
Obviously, some cities, but also real estate developers, are taking advantage of the increasing popularity of such works to boost tourism or to increase the attractiveness of properties. For this purpose, works are commissioned from well-known artists, whereby there are precise ideas about which types of works are desired in the urban space or in the context of a property and which are not.
